Alan has over 25 years experience in property investment and development across the UK and Europe. Alan Joined Helios at the beginning of 2008 having previously been responsible for mixed use developments in Europe for Heron and Freeport. Alan’s past experience includes investment and development projects for Prudential Portfolio Managers, commercial development with Arlington Securities and Chief Executive of Ringway Developments plc, the specialist airport developer, at Manchester Airport. At Helios, Alan is responsible for the company’s European development portfolio.

Born in 1949 Assem joined Citibank in 1974. There he spent time initially in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, working in various positions in the Corporate Bank. In 1985 he moved to London to establish and head the Middle East/Africa Private Bank Division, growing the business from start-up to one of major international significance. In 1991 he left the bank to manage the offshore assets of one of his major clients, the majority shareholder in Helios.

Barrie joined Helios in 2005 as Project Manager. He was formerly with Savills. He is now a Development Director, based in London but working throughout the UK and Europe. Barrie is also in charge of research and deliverance of environmentally responsible and innovative construction methods.

David joined Helios in January 2006 as managing director of HeliosCity, which was specifically created to target commercial and regeneration projects in towns and city's throughout the UK. More recently he has taken up the role as managing director of Wynyard Park Ltd. Mr Salkeld has worked for major contracting organisations throughout his career and prior to joining Helios, was national development director for a private construction group.

Howard joined Helios in May 2006 to take up the newly created post of Financial Controller. He has 30 years experience as an accountant and his duties include liaison with Joint Venture partners on all financial matters and management of the financial reporting process within the Helios Group.

Michael is a founding main Board Director of Helios, establishing the company in 1996 following several years as a senior manager with NFC. He has over 16 years experience in property development at a senior level and jointly with Mr Cartner has ongoing responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the Helios business.

Niko joined Helios as Development Surveyor in November 2008. He was previously employed by King Sturge, in the London Corporate Finance team. Niko spent majority of his time working for a number of international commercial funds targeting development and investment opportunities in the CIS region and Central Europe and Eastern Europe. Niko is based in the Vienna office and his role is to help to expand the firm’s development pipeline in our target markets.

Richard joined Helios Properties as a main Board Director in November 2007 from Gazeley, where he was Chief Financial Officer. He has over 20 years of senior financial experience of the commercial property industry, including roles with Railtrack and Heron. His knowledge and expertise makes him an invaluable member of the Helios executive team as we increase overseas activities both in Europe and internationally.

Robert joined Helios in 2004. He is responsible for acquiring and developing new industrial and distribution sites across the UK for the HelioSlough joint venture and strategic mixed use opportunities for Helioscity.

He has been specifically responsible for the acquisition, planning and development of 4.25 million sq ft of development on schemes at The Revolution and Buckshaw Link at Chorley, Traxpark and Nimbus Park in Doncaster, Wynyard Park, Tees Valley, and Lymedale Cross in Staffordshire. Rob has detailed experience of all aspects of major project funding, grant funding, planning, construction management, fund management and property marketing.
